Describe it in more detail. In what game? How bad is the lag? What's your framerate? Your LS settings? Your system specs?

Im running an 7800x3d 32gb 6000 ram radeon 7800gre on 1440P 165hz capped the framerate @ 80 with x2 (160) fps scaling
Also had this with my geforce 4080s
Mouse feels off.

Vsync is off and only options i have on ls1 upscaling and x2

maybe its not of much help, but if you use a controller, you wont notice the input lag so much.

With your GPU its a surprise you even use this app xD

If you had an NVIDIA GPU, you could have use RTSS to inject Reflex to reduce the input lag but since you're on AMD, tough luck.

you will experience input lag no matter what. this is due to running borderless and then the lossless scaling app over it.

mouse is maybe doable if you are getting 150 frames by default and for some reason you want 300. this thing only really shines with controllers and third person where you don't notice the delay because they are less 1:1 with your hand and you aren't making precise movements like in fps. for me elden ring 30fps 2x scaling to 60 was good with controller, but something like stalker with a mouse was nauseating.

personally i wouldn't bother with frame gen since you are getting 80 fps. turn down the settings if you want 144 fps.

I was thinking of buying this today for my 3080.

Using this on a game like Cyberpunk or Squad would have too much input lag right?

Cap your fps at 78 to be safe. Sometimes, capping isn’t perfect and can fluctuate, so setting it a couple of fps lower is usually a better option.
