Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Recommendations for Scaling Types for Interpolation Please
Can someone recommend some good Scaling types? I've been using AMD FSR to decent success, but it has a few issues that I'm not sure would be improved on a different model. It seems to suffer in areas of low light in games, causing a mirage type effect or shimmer on areas in like caves. I tried using Nvidia image scaler, but it seems to noticeably reduce the quality of any program I run it in, like seriously messing with color and light balance, as well as edge fidelity.
There's a ton of other scaling types, but it seems like a lot of work to go through each one by one, and would appreciate any thoughts.
Also, if someone knows a way to stop NIS from screwing with image quality i'd appreciate that :)

Try LS1, that's what I use for everything with very good results. There are some other scaling type for certain type of games, but I have never used them.

it only takes like 10 seconds to test a scaling type (9 in total so at most 90 seconds). anyways for general recent games just use LS1

Why walk when you can ride?
In all seriousness, I felt the time needed to properly evaluate each model was probably closer to 30 minutes for each to get a decent feel for them, and that was way more time than I wanted to spend looking at subobtimal models. My issues with FSR didn't fully present themselves until I had played several hours with it, like the darkened interiors, certain textures, edges of certain objects etc.
I appreciate the input though!

or rather that some people want an opinion of those who have used those scalings cuz those people have absolutely no idea what is a difference between scaling types at glance

Yes. And since that scaling type questions have been been asked and answered a thousand times already a quick search on Google or the forum search would help find the answer as well.

and since new version is relatively new (no ♥♥♥♥) and things might have changed, the results may differ from back then...
or you might simply get new perceptive by asking same thing some time later....

you are always free to not participate in it anyway

so...? the point still stands. you don't see me often in the forum yes? it's much better when someone asking same thing often, for someone who actually uses google, like me ;)

Yeah, right..... The kind people that help out here on the forum do that because they want to, no one gets paid to do that. And it's absolutely no fun at all to answer the same questions over and over again, just because some people are too lazy to look up the answer themselves first.

if you find no fun answering same questions when you are not being paid, then you can simply quit instead of being snarky, or find "new" questions. literally nobody asked you in particular to do this.
why bother feeling bad over answering questions? it honestly sounds like severe LoL addiction, like someone keeps playing same game knowing that it will make them feel worse.

believe me, i was in same line of thoughts several years ago. this is bad for you

Smarta$$ again. I didn't talk about myself, I'm not complaining about the situation, I'm just describing it. I'm used to people not using a forum search first, I have 35+ years of online experience, it has always been that way and will always be that way. But that doesn't make it better.
