Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Tip: You can use it with PS5 if you have hdmi 2.1 capture card
Not sure if it's the recommended use case, but for me the input lag is low enough that I beat Stellar Blade (mastering Parry and Evade) and I have played over 50 hrs of FF7Rebirth using OBS + Lossless Scaling frame generation

It's not perfect, specially since the card I have (Elgato 4K Pro) has some issues when using for longer sessions, but for the most part, it's working great, specially using LS1 scaling, I am pretty much playing PS5 games at 4K 120 fps

In my setup the input lag is enough that i was able to beat Persona 5 Dancing through it just for the fun of testing it. I would advise to keep it to PCie cards, I tried the external one and the input lag was just too high, though for FF7 Rebirth it was okayish

Just wanted to share my use case in case of anyone who wants to spend a couple hundred of extra wattage and dollars in getting a more "PS5 pro" experience in the Sony exclusives

In my case I am using

4K HDR + ALLM on the PS5 (unfortunately my card gets weird with VRR)
LS1 at 2x and LSFG using WDC with HDR and VRR support

Yeah? How do you do it on PS 5? Would be kind if you shared it with the rest of us

They explained it. Have a capture card, connect the PS5 to the capture card and then connect that to the PC. You then would probably use OBS or some OBS adjacent software to see the output then just run this on top of it.

Honestly, I'm probably gonna try it sometime this week with Bloodborne.

What about latency? It seems the signal comes to us via an extra gateway. There must be some, but does it matter what capture card we use?

But it seems interesting too because PS5 itself provides very stable and affordable rendering for further fg.

From app it self ITS already notice able latency but

IM sure of from ps5> capturecard > PC > obs

It Will increase latency

But IT is really interesting
