Will this work on my laptop?
Hey guys, my laptop has an i5-6200U and a 940MX (ddr4 version), will this app work with it? Real "game changer" if it will. Thank you!

It will work, generally speaking. How well it works of course depends on what you are trying to achieve and how much headroom your GPU has. If, for example, your system struggles to reach 40 fps in a certain game even at low graphics settings then your GPU won't have the power to upscale that game from a fixed 30fps to 60 with LS. Try it out, if LS doesn't work for you you can refund it.

Laptop support hardware acceleration and if so yes it will work on framegen side and if no only the upscale system will work for you, it looks like your laptop will support hardware acceleration being more modern so you should be good to go.

Thank you, I think I will try it out soon. Just to confirm, this works on games with anti cheat too like Halo MCC right?

Yes.

Remember that Lossless Framegen uses a decent amount of VRAM, you need enough overhead to make sure it runs and doesnt "break", which happens when your VRAM caps out.

i tried it on my geforce 920m out of curiosity. It made me lose like 30 fps

Since many people don't leave much data, I'll leave something:

Desktop PC: Ryzen 3600 + 1660 Super = Works perfect (Skyrim full modding, Baldur gate 3, etc...)

Notebook: AMD Ryzen 3 5425U (Vega 6) = I lose fps (Any game)

I hope it helps others.

Update

I haven't tried any games yet, but I tried watching shows with it.

THIS IS SO COOL! I SET LSFG TO 1.1 AND THE TYPE TO ANIME4K AND I CAN WATCH FIGHT SCENES IN 60FPS.

Soon I will try it with Forza Horizon 4 which runs at around 25 fps for me.

Specs:
940MX with 2GB vram
12gb DDR4
i5-6200u
Crucial mx500 ssd

Nice, you'll want to use something other than Anime4k for scaling games though, as its pretty heavy. I'm kinda surprised it works well on video tbh.

The older the game, the better it will work on underpowered laptops, usually.

Also you need a solid, and I mean ROCK SOLID 30 fps for 2x LSFG to work consistently.

A good way to test if a game is viable for LSFG is to uncap the frame rate and watch the average frame rate closely. If it's over 40 consistently, you should be safe to lock the game's framerate to 30 using RTSS and then enable 2x LSFG.

If it barely reaches 30 and even has drops below that, you can forget about LSFG because it WILL take away some performance from your game, which is already struggling to reach 30 fps, resulting in a very unstable image with lots of artifacting. You're better off playing at 30 fps in such cases.

What method do you recommend I use to upscale games? There are so many options so I am not sure.

I tried Forza which normally runs at 20fps and got it to 40 without upscaling. It did look a bit weird though.

LS1 works well in almost all situations. Try FSR if it doesn't.
