Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Nvidia image scaling question
I'm thinking about getting the app to use on a laptop.

On my desktop I have a 4k display but I set my desktop to 1440p and use NIS to upscale everything to 4k.
Why?
Cause I mainly game in borderless window and NIS only upscales games running at Fullscreen but if I set the desktop res to 1440p, then it upscales everything to my monitor's native res, 4k.

Back to the laptop then, I'm running a 3070ti laptop and the screen's native res is 1440p, since it's a 15.6 laptop and the 3070ti mobile is not the strongest chip out there, I run everything in 1080p which still has good ppi at 15 inch.
Unfortunately I can't use NIS on the laptop because the screen is handled by the Intel graphics chip, it doesn't have mux switch and I don't even have the option to use NIS on Nvidia control center.

I Know that lossless scale has NIS built in, my question is:
Will it upscale everything to my screen's native resolution, that means, if I set my desktop res to 1080p will it upscale everything to 1440p?
