Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Does LSFG 2.0 Work well with G-Sync ?
Gonna say this program is amazing still it got some flaws.
I'm a casual G-sync enjoyer. Of course I usually cap my fps below my monitor refresh rate by 3 or 6.
I got this test with Elden Ring.
Compare of using FPS unlocker get me up to 110-120 fps it still felt smoother than using LSFG from 60 to 120 fps.
Of course if I combine 2 method together I could get a flat 144 fps. But it still feel choppy for me.
Perhaps I miss some setting ? I don't use scale method just LSFG alone.
It there anyway to fix this ?

it feel choppy bc Elden Ring is designed to play at 60. The frame r still there, but the input could be eaten, so some of the movement will be weird

it works fine with freesync.

Wait so should I enable VRR in the Lossless Scaling App ? Or just leave it disable.

VRR works only with WGC, DXGI is not affected by that option.
DXGI doesn't interact with freesync/gsync on compatible monitors, so best leave these options on for the cases where LSFG is not used.
WGC requires some specific steps to work and display stuff properly, for instructions on it I recommend joining the discord community of the app

I have a gsync-compatible freesync monitor, and I can use vrr without problems. apparently, gsync-compatible freesync devices work with lossless scaling.

thats my experience. it can be different to other players.

I had to use a program called Vibrance Gui, add the game as an exe, set the change resolution option to 120hz at my desired resolution, and then when in game; change the game to borderless but say "no" when it asks to keep changes; this bypassed the 60hz limit *in fullscreen* which is killer asf since even in borderless windowed the vrr implementation seems ♥♥♥♥♥.

honestly tho; lossless looks like ass in this game because the aliasing is so bad, causes graphical artifacting out the ass, especially since we're stuck using performance mode right now because of nvidia's driver nonsense.

I say stick with 60fps but just do that trick in my second paragraph. This'll hard lock your hz and improve your inputs anyway.

Also: it feels so choppy because Gsync is being disabled. the above trick should fix this, though be warned alt tabbing will kill the Gsync and likely crash LS
