Elden ring is poorly written. If you set to borderless it dsiables HDR... FRomSoftware could learn after all these years how to properly code. They have enough money know to learn :D
I hope the ppl of LS are aware of this ,and are working for a sollution to this ↓
My system is mOOre than capable to handle Elder Ring at Max settings @1440p Ray Traced = max = constant 57 - 60 fps no fps dips..
But due to the fact that the game is capped at 60fps , i suspect for this reason i get to see very small judder when playing in fullscreen, in borderless window the judder is much better but then i loose the HDR setting 😥 !
Just great, mommy has an OP HW system + 32inch HDR600 + 260fos monitor to have a pc game capped at 60 fps 🙄 !!!
Not only that , but choosing borderless = Loosing HDR ... So what i have to turn on Auto HDR for a game that actually supports HDR 🤪👈 Bam !!
Ah NUTS...
First, install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/4513
Once in game, bring up the mod configuration using the Home key, open View -> Advanced Settings and select both Override Fullscreen State and Override Color Space. If you're using DLSS, I recommend Preset E for the best quality image. Exit out of Elden Ring (this is important).
Launch LS, disable scaling, enable FG, and toggle HDR on. Now launch Elden Ring, set it to Fullscreen and turn on HDR. Enable LS and you should be seeing the doubled framerate without HDR being disabled.
Mommies point of creating this thread... is = NOT to USE any MODS of any kind 😉
But rather , accomplish that ↑ through other non-intrusive way's for a BUTTER SMOOTH game experience 🤗
Mods, tend to break more things than it fixes thing , especially in its infant stage.
Also, with each game update, mods tend to break aswell etc..
Mommy rather DON't WANT to DEAL with that... Thank you, but no thanks 😐

Sorry you don't want to try, but hopefully my post will help others. Elden Ring with DLSS at 120 fps is glorious especially with much lower GPU/CPU usage then simply unlocking the framerate. Even on a 4090 the game ran well below 120 in certain locations with RT enabled and no upscaling.
It's not that mommy doesn't want to try modding. Iam just against modifying game files, hecne the word modding ..
Indeed, one of the benefits of using Upscale + FG = Smooth game experience apart from the grapics quality .
Provided that game developers do want to implement DLSS/FSR feature in their games or EVEN UPDATED patches for older games 🤨 !!
Also, the game doesn't require much cpu/gpu resources on a 5900x + 4070ti combo system.
Like my gpu only consumes 80 watts from the 280 TDP in ER at Maximum settings , running at constant 60fps LoLzz ..
But in general, capping fps in pc games DOES NOT MAKE any SENSE to MOMMY 🤔
Though , there are work arrounds to overcome that ↑ for some older games like → FO4 running at 120fps just by modifying the game's config / engine file 😁👌
But eldenRing seems to be the exception, no way to uncapp it whitout modifying ofcourse..
Only work arround is FG/upscale somehow..
EDIT: What i'll try is to use Nvidia Upscaling through Nividia's 3D management software for this particular game. Since ER doesn't support upscaling natively.. NOT YET.. maybe it will whit the upcoming DLC 🤤

With the mod I mentioned you are technically not modding anything since it is a drop in DLL and doesn't change any existing files, but it does trigger the anti cheat stuff. However that is just semantics and you are still modifying the game.
LS is definitely incredible for games like this that are stuck. I haven't tested it, but I'm sure it would be awesome to play any of the Dark Souls games at 120 fps.
Armored Core has 120 FPS, so hopefully going forward their games will start adding uncapped framerates and upscaling.
Are you talking about adding, replacing or hooking /injecting here 🤔?
I don't care about the online feature anyway, i rather play such a games offline /> single player btw.
EDIT: well i quickly took a look at the mod.. And from what i've read, the mod does infact adds files to the game dir, and therefor is tampering the game folder to accomplish just that..

if it's only a matter of extracting the content of that zip and nothing more .. i.e: installing script engines and mod launchers etc etc.. you know.. like it is usually required to modify an whole game using nexus files.. I might consider to use this mod
But honestly, the fact they've capped it to 60fps is the main problem ..
There is also a mod to unlock the framerate as well that also is just a drop in: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/216
I also use Remove chromatic aberration because I don't like the look and there is no option in game to disable it. A few steps are required for these, but totally worth it for me. Spend 10-15 minutes doing all this and you are good to go forever.
Stop it. Don't judge, nobody cares what you think.
