Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

If I enable VRR within LS, should I enable G-sync in Nvidia driver settings?
Final Edit: Nevermind ALL of that. Following the guide, it didn't work at all for Hell Divers 2. I followed this post and it now works!

I play Arma 3 and i'm happy i not followed this tutorial or i would refund the app.
If i limit the frame rate to 30 or 60 on the Nvidia panel and set the monitor refresh rate acordingly (60Hz and 120Hz), i get horrible results.
So i just play Arma 3 with no FPS limit set on Nvidia Panel and monitor refresh rate set to 144Hz and all is good: the app double the FPS whatever it is, and everything is fluid and beautifull.
I'm still not sure what is better, vsync on or off (results are very similar i believe)...
But limit the FPS on Nvidia Panel is a total no go and people insisting on it will believe the app is broken, at last for Arma 3, the reason game for me to buy this app.

Or will that conflict with something if I'm using LSFG?

Edit: Also doesn't seem to work at all in HellDivers 2? Like, it does nothing.

Things I did:

- Limited FPS to 60 in control panel, per game, not global
- Set monitor refresh to 120 (Actually 119.084 or something. Does that matter?)
- No v-sync on at all as of now
- Running game in borderless window

Things I see:

- Looks choppier?
- FPS counter from LS just shows 60 FPS, not 120?
- I notice more latency, but no extra frames or smoothness
- Tried DXGI and WGC, same result

Seems you limited the LS to 60 fps. It won’t work good in this case.

How did I do that? I capped FPS for the game only, not as a global setting.

do you for some reason have the vsync option on in the lossless scaling app, and at 1/2 refresh rate?

it doesnt work like that, if the game is 60 fps, the Lossless Scaling can double it to 120 fps, with half of it being 'fake' frames. OP for whatever reason has a setting somewhere that is limiting lossless scaling to only show 60 fps.

The game in question, Hell Divers 2 has no FPS limiter ingame, it does have a vysnc option but as far as I'm aware it doesn't have a locked max FPS, and if it did I doubt it'd only be 60.

OP for whatever reason has a setting somewhere that is limiting lossless scaling to only show 60 fps.

Man I really hope that isn't the case. I'm not even sure how I'd go about checking for that. The only limiter I'm using right now is through nvidia control panel. I've disabled RTSS, etc. I have no other apps that can mess with those settings. Is there something within windows I should look for?
