RTX HDR mod + Lossles Scaling
Hello!
First thanks for this amazing piece of software and really good job on the last update, tried it a little and it seems flawless now!
Really love it but Nvidia now released RTX HDR recently and an universal mod for games was made out of it : https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/781

I can't get both of them to work together or decide myself wich one to keep... Is there a way?

So if anyone can help in this regard, thanks

What the issue you observe? Did you try turning HDR support option?

I'm not sure why, i just can't toggle both together.
Maybe it is related to fullscreen/borderless or focus of the window?
I tried a lot yesterday, going again to have a better report now i have your attention. Thanks a lot!
games tried : Rayman Origins / Pillar of Eternity 2 / Binding of Isaac Rebirth / Battlefield 5 (work wonderfull in SDR here amazing for the 2 min tried, but it require fullscreen for native HDR...)

I dont know if it's specific to my monitor (Odyssey G7 32"), but man, for example the colors in Rayman Origins and others are TRANSFORMED with this HDR mod it's just too good to be true... it would be a dream to have both! like my monitor got a 2.0 upgrade lol insane.

Do you have an HDR monitor to try out? i will try my best to explain if not.

I think its because the RTX HDR mod requires the game to be in fullscreen to work while Lossless requires the game to be windowed? thats my guess

Yeah i'm pretty sure this have something to do with the fullscreen/window mode or the focus of it.

-Launching the game with the HDR mod working (Street Fighter 6 Borderless mode)
-i still can see the HDR working behind while back to windows and clicking to upsccale in Lossless Scaling
-Lossless Scaling kicks in and HDR juste broke while focusing
-back to windows, i can see the HDR is now working again when my game is in the background
-back to game : HDR gone (set SDR luminosity setting thing in windows 11 to 0% and you can be sure when HDR is ON or OFF)

Maybe asking too much, but if this is somehow open source if you got an Nvidia GPU maybe you can just include it yourself in your own software? (this mod was released in like 2 days, should not be that hard?)
it will be an other great feature for Lossless Scaling :)

Yeah i'm afraid of something like this... Please reassure me x)

EDIT : Well, NO because it just worked in street fighter 6 borderless mode perfectly until Lossless Scaling kicked in?

But if this is the case, implementing it directly into lossless scaling would be the perfect solution right?
Would it be a problem? It already have mods for games and also for videos players like VLC or MPC-HC. I dont see a reason ?

As far as I understand, this is part of the Nvidia driver, there is no open source code.

What does it means? So you can just give the option to enable it for Nvidia users because well, we just have it in our drivers? Or if not, is there still a way to use both?

It means I can't integrate it in LS directly, users have to turn it on in the drivers, and if it doesn't work when LS is running I can't do anything here.

I just got it working with the RTX HDR mod, try changing the Capture API on Lossless Scaling to WGC and make sure HDR support is turned off under Rendering

Are you sure about this? You can set your SDR luminosity setting thing (in Windows 11 when HDR is enabled) at 0% and just alt-tab your game and see if it really is HDR like this (if the content is affected by this slider, its SDR content.)
What game did you tried also?

I tried it on Digimon World Next Order and got it working by just turning the Capture API to WGC, turn off everything on the right, and I did set Scaling Mode to custom and resize before scaling, and that's about it
