It works in Minecraft from my experience, but for me only 2.6.0.1 worked well, with 2.6.0.2 and .3 not working all that well. I've yet to try .4 and .5 (the latest beta) yet though. When it was working I was able to go from ~55-60 FPS to near perfect 120. One problem to not was a lot of UI elements ghosted pretty often, but I reduced this by downloading resource packs that gave me a minimalist UI and crosshair.

If you want to do it yourself it's pretty easy, as all you need to do is lock your game's framerate (either in game or through something like Rivatuner) to half your monitor's refresh rate and then enable LSFG in LS, then click Scale and return to the game window. Again, I haven't tested the latest LS versions yet so I don't know how it'll perform.

To clarify, this is for the Java edition of minecraft correct? does this mean that I can basically activate Frame Gen for my minecraft modpacks?

And once I buy LS, I can just revert to the previous version (2.6.0.1) through the beta options right? Thank you for sharing your experience, its important to me. I did not want to create another post asking this question.

not directly no, but the dev updates the beta regularly and so far 2.6.0.5 is the best version yet. if you do have an issue with the beta app, then join their discord and report it, chances are the dev will send you another build to try and pinpoint the problem and get it working for you. the dev is pretty solid.

right now the stable version is 2.5.1.1, the beta is 2.6.0.5 atm, no option for anything in between unless you follow a guide to download specific updates in steam. dont think you will need to do that tho.

Yep, for the Java edition of Minecraft. I used it so I could get 120 FPS while using shaders, and I see no reason it can't do something similar for making modpacks run better, just keep in mind the LS dev recommends having 60 native FPS minimum and generate up to 120, although it is possible to run it at 30 FPS and generate to 60.

Unfortunately, as kripcision mentioned, there are only two versions available, the stable 2.5.1.1 version and the latest beta which is 2.6.0.5 right now, but if what he said is correct (2.6.0.5 being the best version so far) then frame gen should work as well if not better than in 2.6.0.1.

As kripcision also mentioned, if you have any issues it'd be best to check in with the LS official Discord server to ask the devs for help. Hope this all helps, have fun with your modded MC.
