Yes it works on anything on your screen. It makes Youtube videos and other video content very smooth as long as they dont have a lot of text. I use it sometimes to watch anime.

Setup is easy. You just hit the hotkey and it starts working.

yeah i tried this yesterday and it honestly worked very well for me, i tried it on both a tv shows (boba fett) and some anime, it made both very smooth. however i had to mess with the vysnc settings in order for it to work. if your set up is like mine then the freesync option could be mess with it and should be turned off unless the frame rate is lower than the freesync range.

yes I use it to turn 60 FPS youtube fighting game Esports tournament into 120 FPS

It's not just basic interpolation it literally looks like DLSS frame gen
Using for 23-30fps videos on Youtube and different video services. LS doubles FPS but that means 48fps for 23-24fps videos. I suppose, LS can only double FPS but not trying to make 60fps result (maybe someone made it works like 23fps videos to 60fps?)

i tried in fire fox (my screen is a 100 hz), so it would try to double 50 fps, to make 100 fps, the source video would be around 23fps, but in this case its throwing extra frames in the mix so its not properly doubling the video.

on the other hand if i use FG with VLC, it actually detects the fps of the video, around 23 fps, and the fps counter in LS shows 46, so its properly using FG in this case.

LSFG can be nice for gaming but there are by far superior solutions for videos.
One I have been using for years is SVP 4 Pro.

yes u can use LS on youtube or any other video players, but it's very annoying to get it working. And then your config breaks in every update

frame gen doesnt work that great with youtube since it doesnt pick up the source fps correctly, on the other hand its works like intended with VLC.

It DOES pickup a video FPS correctly, idk what are you talking about. I'm watching 24fps video and LS's OCD shows 48fps - that's correct (50fps result for 25fps videos as well)

Creating a new profile in LS for Chrome (with no scaling selected) and pressing CTRL-ALT-S when going fullscreen on videos - frames are doubled, no issues, no annoyance at all. Did that in 1 min and watching all videos online with double FPS

It's not Lossless Scaling's fault, Firefox seems to be problematic with this kind of software, it even has issues with HDR RTX and RTX Video Super Resolution on nvidia GPUs.
I'm a Firefox user but when I want to use LSFG on online content, I switch to a chromium browser just for that.

How to make fullscreen youtube video works with LS? Or, how to make framegenerated youtube video to be fullscreen?

There is a way to do it with firefox, you just need to play with the hidden settings from teh about:config to manage that.

Could be DRM related, kind of amazed it works for HBO Max at all. You could also try a different capture api or popping out/floating the video window, if your browser allows.
