Although it won't work well with some games (like Nioh 1, it does have some bad optimization)
Edit: it does work with Nioh, I accidentally turned on VRR support which made it laggy.
There are cases of badly optimized games that would experience issues like the mentioned nioh or GTA IV pc port. But in them it is mostly optimizations issue on game side rather than lossless scaling issue.
So many golden oldies.
Is it finally time to return to Jet set radio?
The crashing was not related to Lossless, rather the finicky nature of the MGR port.
Some fine tuning to do, hoping to get it to run in triple screens, but just that fight makes this the best $7 I ever spent.
You will NEVER fix stutter by adding more frames. That game has traversal stutter and shader comp stutter and when a game is stuttering it's not rendering new frames so for example say you're running a game at 120fps locked except for when it tanks due to traversal stutter. During that time the frame rate effectively drops from 120hz to 0hz for up to 1 sec then immediately returns to 120 but it's also doing this roughly every 4 seconds. If you generate frames from the time the game is stuttering you will just be generating more of the locked up frames over the same amount of time and since you essentially aren't rendering new frames it still shows as a stutter.
No fixing that with frame gen no matter what methods you may be using to do it. A broken game will always be broken. If faster hardware could fix a game like concrete jungle then I wouldn't see stutter on my 7950x3d/4090. Same stutter I saw on a 5800x/2080 and 3080ti.
