FPS drop when i activate LSFG
Hi,

I bought Lossless Scaling mainly to boost my ROG Ally a little bit and i have a problem is some games.

I lock my game to 60 fps (120hz screen) and set it to 720P, but when i activate LSFG my game's FPS goes down to 40-45 while it was 60 before activating it.

How can i fix it ? I had this issue in Monster Hunter and Cyberpunk.

Thanks

LSFG does hit the native fps a bit, but after that it doubles it. I still haven't seen a 20~15 fps drop though, sometimes is something like 5~7 fps max from 60 fps or so, if ever. RTX 3070 mobile here.

I Literaly just had this exact problem and managed to solve it. Aparrently what caused it for me was activating VRR and HDR modes in the settings.
Also, what @vlbastos said is true, The app uses about 10% of your GPU when running. And so the best use for me was to Lower settings/resolution to get to about 65-70 FPS, than locking it to 60 FPS (using RiveaTurner or Nvidea control panel) , ginving headroom for me to activate the lossless scaling to get better visual (upscaler) and 120 FPS (Frame Gen).

If you are on a laptop, make sure to select your dedicated GPU.
With frame generation alone, I've seen the program in a 60 capped 2D game that barely uses resources, to go and eat 70% gpu. The higher your resolution, the higher the hit.
Also make sure to try performance mode.
