Star Citizen performance cannot be saved by any type of software. You do realize that you have problems running a tech demo that uses a 10 year old graphic engine while your rig has a 4090 right?
Cryengine, Lumberjack and Star (lol) engine are one and the same.

In my humble opinion and also many other people opinion both in reddit and gaming sites this pre alpha , alpha or game (terms are changing depending what CIG wants to sell or defend) its a train wreck and borderline a scam.
i follow this social experiment for many years since i never liked games like these but remembered Roberts from Wing Commander and his B movie which made me laugh. So when i was seeing the gradual fund raises i was just interested in the story behind.
Strictly by observing the facts and since i can say that since this game after 10 years is at this level right now most likely we will have two outcomes
1. It will be never finished.
2. Roberts will just deliver a minimum quality level product which will be nowhere close to the kickstarter and promises made these years , in order to avoid legal problems.
Since iam a 40 year old gamer and i suppose you are of a certain age as well since big % of the SC crowd is like that (if not iam sorry assuming) i know that Roberts has only done some coding for Wing Commander which was more like a FMV space oper than a game. His most recent title was Freelancer in which Roberts Digital Anvil was bought out from Microsoft and Roberts was removed since like now his management was horrendous.
No, iam not impressed at all or in fact iam impressed with how far sunken cost fallacy can go and how much people can deny pure facts and red flags but i guess this state of mind is a part that contributed to the gaming scene becoming so bad these days in general.
