I'm not sure what search for. But I see now Magpie's first release on GitHub was in 2021 while Lossless Scaling released 2018. Althrought, I clearly remember I used magpie before 2021. But I didn't find any magpie releases in Google earlier than 2021. Perhaps my memory is deceiving me
Totally not user friendly at all. Hard to believe the FAQ doesn't include "can I use this program without compiling?".
However Magpie has worse performance, no LS1, and no windowed mode. For now I will be using Magpie but monitoring LS for updates.
Not everybody uses this application to improve FPS in 3D gaming though. Lossless Scaling is currently the only application that can scale unresizable application/game windows while keeping them windowed. However any multitasking is annoying because the mouse jumps around when clicking between windows/screens. This issue is 100% solved in Magpie.
So, I'm still hoping for updates. Until then I run a Windows tablet next to my desktop and alternate between two keyboards and two mice. Not as bad as it sounds, but still not ideal.
