LS1 is absolutely destroying the other scaling options.

I think once you reach 1080p LS1 and FSR1 are pretty comparable but LS1 definitely comes out on top. I'll also do a performance comparison later too!

what is LS1? I tried looking up this scaling type and I couldnt find information on. Good comparison shots btw.

What about fps ?

Man, the result is awesome. However, I think LS1 should add more depth. I can see the detail lacking but the main issue is depth of scene, some shadow is wash out while scene with great lighting has a blurry effect.

Truthfully I don't know, it was added in a 2.x.x update I think, might be custom made?

I'll be doing some FPS testing later tonight but generally they are all pretty good

The dev explained in another post that LS1 is a Lossless Scaling original scaling model.

Very impressive...

The improvements are amazing, damn.

10% fsr and 8-9% ls1 performance hit with rtx3060

I've found LS1 with sharpening set to 0 to be by far the best option for pixel art games. It offers the same compatibility for preserving pixel scaling, but without any noticeable "haloing" (light borders around pixels) from over-sharpness or rounding out of pixels from over-smoothing.

Only gigachads use LS1 with no sharpen

Sharpness-wise it is, but detail preservation level is worse. LS1 standard looks amazing, I use it at 0 or 1 sharpness in most cases, while LS1 Performance usually (due to being a bit sharper than the standard by default) mostly at 0. Both are amazing and better image preservation wise than FSR1 and NIS.

Yeah, it even does a bit of miracles when using a Nintendo Switch with a capture card to be honest. Since the video output is on my PC's screen, I can adjust the image a little bit.
