Anime 4K Support
Would be nice to have it, I've been using this program for watching anime and works well and I know that Mugpie has option for it but it wont let me use when watching online compared to Lossless Scaling, I hope someday it gets support to it!

I'll add my +1, but I prefer Lanczos for most anime, so please add that too! :txsweat:
Not having Lanczos, Anime 4K, etc is the only thing stopping me from using this over Magpie for VNs. If it were added I'd basically use this daily and I'm sure the VN community would much appreciate it as well.

Hi there,
According to my tests, Anime4k does not show better quality compared to FSR, even when used with anime content. However, it is much slower, which does not allow it to be used for games.

I use this program when watching videos and when playing visual novels. For me, the speed of the algorithm is not particularly important. Also in the screenshots in the repository, the algorithm gives great quality when scaling from <720p resolution (360p looks better)

Oh, I was mostly saying it like MrsEmilia was saying, is mostly for Video watching where speed doesn't really matter and Visual novels, FSR helps but I've used Anime4k on mpv and looks way better tho slower but it doesn't really matter much for watching.

Just throwing it out there, but make sure you guys are adjusting the sharpness or whatever the setting is called under FSR. As long as you adjust it you can usually make most VNs look pretty great. (Which I'm sure would apply to watching anime too.)

do you use anything to make the video player be its own window so I can apply fullscreen to it or you just download it and watch with any media player?

Sorry, I really only use Lossless Scaling for visual novels and games and stuff. I pretty much use MPC-BE with madVR for watching anime and upscaling all my shows and movies. madVR has an insane amount of options, so it has a much higher learning curve, but there is a lot of guides online if you would be interested in it.
