Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Ultrawide question.
This looks great. Some real black magic going on here :) Can anyone (maybe the dev?) comment on if this app is able to scale up to ultrawide resolutions even if the game doesn't support ultrawide resolutions. I'm using an acer predator 3440x1440 monitor.

If the game is 16:9 or 4:3 only then your best off having black borders on the sides in my opinion, otherwise you will get a stretched image if your trying to fill the screen. Basically this program will output the same aspect ratio that gets input.

Yep fair enough. I thought this might be the case, but I figured I'd ask just to be sure. I'll probably still give this a go as I have a few old games in my library that I'd like to play again and having them not be all blocky/blurred would be nice.

In your case if you can get the game to run at 1720 x 720 (x2 scale) it would be ideal for your monitor. This isn't always possible so next best option is to use the largest integer scale which will fit within your monitors resolution. This can result in black borders on all sides(letterbox+pillarbox) but you will get a nice clear image output with no artifacts.

Could there be an option to stretch the screen though? Sometimes games don't come with relotutions for certain ratios and sometimes even correct ratios don't fit the screen after scaling.
games with distorted ratios don't look terrible:)
a toggle - fit to screen / keep aspect ratio - might be really cool. I don't mind that the pixels won't be uniform, as long as they stay sharp.

Guys!

I think I've found a temporary Solution!
In game, when the LS bugs due to use an Ultrawide (21:9) monitor like mine 3440x1440, go to Windows Exibition, set to a normal monitor (16:9) 2560x1440 and then, with the game running, put it back to 21:9!

OBS: I don't know if it changes anything but I'm using a keybind to run the LS app instead of running with the 5 seconds method.
