GUI doesn't scale with resolution

When playing in 720p, the GUI icons are big, but when playing in 1440p icons are small and the conversations text is almost unreadable.
I don't particularly care though, the game is great anyway, but i just wanted to report it.

4K is simply impossible thanks to this, which is a shame because the game looks simply gorgeous.

How does the game play in 1440p aside from small icons? I thoroughly enjoyed this back in the Xbox 360 days and I would like to buy it again for HD graphics, but only if it works correctly. Thanks.
