Disconnect from the internet/block TDU2 with firewall temporarily , start your game and when prompted to start in offline mode select yes, Reconnect to the internet when you're in-game. Only way I've found to work for me as I am first time player of this game with an online account. For those of you using an offline account, be wary it is a pain to change it to an online one when servers will come back online.

I used this to enter the game with an online account and it worked :D. Will it sync my leveling progress when the server is up again?

I'm wondering about this too. I just attempted to get the game going offline and saw a message stating I might not be able to play this profile again online. I don't really wan't to loose all my progress or access to my DLC stuff.

@ Mark and Fluffy!.It won't sync as mentioned above by op and Geesepredictabo. I'm only newish in this game too but there's no way I'd use the online save to play offline. It's not logical that it would sync at all because when offline many people hack the daylights out of the game including unlocking DLC etc and other modding so I had always believed that a seperate profile save for offline was required (preferably with a different name) if you wanted the online profile not to become invalid when you try to load it up again as your online save. Even if you haven't played the game online yet why take the risk by using the online profile you've created successfully to play offline at all. Look around for an offline save that has everything unlocked already and copy that into your save folder in documents/Eden Games (the only way to use someone elses save btw). Use the op's suggestion but let it time out and select the unlocked everything profile save and leave the online account profile be. If you have used the online name save already offline it may need to be deleted just so you can login online again anyways. Don't risk it, you guys that have waited for keys have been through enough already. The TUD2 servers and Atari are temperamental to put it nicley and I'm waiting to get back in this game as much as anybody else. See you all in there soon hopefully

Hi, I have a question. When I launch my game, when the servers are up or down, (I've been trying to play since last summer) and I click play, the first loading screen shows up in windowed mode for about 2 seconds then the game crashes. I don't know if I should start a new discussion for this or what, but I would love to get this resolved as I have a G27 on the way and would love to use it with this game. Thanks in advance.

@Shiggydiggymahniggy.com make a new thread and copy paste what you have above and some other things if you could. What operating system are you using and possibly some PC specs and what is your native monitor resolution? I know it sounds odd but I had similar problems when I first ran the game too. My native is 1920x1080 and the game when first run decide to window to 800x600 then crashed. I restarted and hit alt+enter to maximize the screen which luckily for me allowed to play around with the graphic settings which also behaved strangley allowing me to 1080p the resolution but only to 26hz O.o. To fix that I made it 1680x1050 which allowed me to select the 60hz I was after then selected 1080p again and it worked still having the 60hz refresh. This game has some quirks to put it nicley. My PC is not high end at all more like medium. Add me and I'll try to help you as best I can, but move this to a new thread and I'll edit this to suit. You need to enter your CD Key from right clicking the game in your libary and selecting "View CD Key". The game must be activated whilst connected to internet on your first launch.

Just to let you people know - I have mixed online and offline play with several of my avatars, and I had no problems. If I won races offline, they counted towards my leveling up when I was back online. Same with instant challenges - I race against the 'bots offline, then those races are added to my total when I'm back online. I found a few wrecks while offline, and they counted towards the total found when back online. I hope this helps for those of you who are afraid of losing progress while offline. Just don't use cheats and you should be fine.
