why TDU2 isn't as good as TDU1 was :

-no custom radio to add music (you can use winamp or another media player but it's not the same at all)
-less radio styles to choose from (classical music anyone ? it's relaxing while driving through)
-DLC stuff going wonky
-lots of "bugs or cheaters or exploiters" (look at scoreboards 0s time, 99999kmh ... A1 in a C4 race) : a scoreboard is just that a scoreboard, invalid entries should be cleaned
-DLC stuff unavailable in offline mode (as far as I know)
-too bad they didn't add a few polygons to the old TDU1 map roads. there's still weird bumpy collisions with roads that go up & down and are not smoothed enough
-buggy physics : not even thinking about the realistic debate, noooo, just the weird stuff like your car coming to a complete halt after hitting a sidewalk (even high elevation cars)?
your B4 car (or whatever) jumping on its roof for no absolute reason when landing after a small jump
-alternate controls anyone ?
I like the possibility to have two keys assigned to the same function or perhaps 1 key from keyboard and 1 click from a mousebutton, or even 1 key from keyboard & 1 button from pad (or any other controller)
-more different cars as DLC/addon and not just reskins

car categories :
in A6 we find a camaro 1LT and a subaru imprezza
it's night and day, the camaro is slow to accelerate (0-100 and even 0-200), has really bad grip (easy to spin out if you're not careful) and becomes slow as a turtle on dirt
the sub is fast to accelerate, has really good grip, and doesn't care about dirt at all
if anything the sub should be A6+ whereas the cam should be A6-

they had better range of cars in tdu 1 you could get lambos and more classic cars and way easier to make money to buy things in tdu 1 they had many easy 75k events to do in my opinion

in fact a group of us still play it 4 pc limked together in the basement of friends house so we can race together and drive around a large sreen tv splits into 4 little screens so we see each other

not sure what you imply by that but it's irrelevant to the category of the vehicule compared to its practical performance when driven on TDU2 roads (not just numbers)

I didn't add "in my opinion" because the content of my post is based on facts not opinions and because I didn't want a too lenghty post title. Obviously there's still stuff that is better in TDU2 compared to TDU1 (no more invisible police car bug yeeehaaaa !!! ) and everyone is entitled to his own opinion ;)

I played hundreds of hours of TDU1 back in those days, I especially liked to beat my own records on the "island tour" (1M race)

too bad they don't have the same bikes in tdu2 my friend asked me if i wanted them put in tdu2 he the same guy that built my gaming PC but not sure how steam would react with those bikes you could win races at the CRC

you do have more cars, some neat repeatable challenges, I like 'Lucky Day'. People! Tdu2 got ppl, every player can walk around in dealers say hi to each other, 'wave', 'dance', 'clap', look at other players' mytdulife. You can walk in your house, invite friends to house, party and chat. Dress up, get haircut, facelift. In tdpoo1 your avat is a bit hokey face gfx, and you cant walk Anywhere. and yes, tdu2 dont have invisible cops that ram you and ruin your challenges. also we have 'proper wind' that blows, rather than bits of paper litter moving in your face. tdu2 has Copchase multi co-op where you can win the Police-Viper. Tdu2 got car wash girls. BangBang. :)

Tdu2 still got Lisa's Diners but they are only static souvenirs. In Tdu1 they were... crc?
Here's a thing; Tdu2 i made a crc of Lucky Day, exact same route and radar markers, Raced it and at that sharp bend where i used to bounce of the tree, return to road, cos quicker than braking. Well that same tree is right there in Tdu2 lol, it has more foliage though.

just finished playing tdu1 with are group and thise bikes where fast rolling start at 100kph to 386 max speed in 14 seconds nice power rush

I play TDU 1 and while it is a great game the problems get to my nerves. I am aiming for TDU2 mostly due to the customization, the fact that there are now offroad vehicles, and for being thankfuly able to leave ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hawaii. Really, who the ♥♥♥♥ thought it would be a good idea to make a car racing game there? the place is AWFUL for high-end cars races. I would rather see a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ came on ireland or Magadascar rather than hawaii.
