Test Drive Unlimited 1 issue : invisible cars / erratic traffic lane changes
I have an issue in TDU1 with many cars, including police cars, being invisible, which are collided with without warning. And another issue is that most traffic makes erratic, snap lane changes that take about 0.3 seconds to complete, so they're like battering rams, and unpredictable road obstacles.

Does anyone know how to fix either of these issues in the game?

limiting framerate to a maximum of 90 fps should fix this. easiest way to achieve this is to force vsync for tdu in your nvidia/ati setting, most people have monitors operating at 60hz, so that'll limit it to 60 fps

i found this on some other forum : "It turns out it is because the game runes on a frame basis rather than time basis. This means the AI calculations are based on how fast your CPU is rather than basing it on a fixed time interval."

I love this game, and i have all these problems after every reformat of the hard-drive.

Well... I found out that after driving my favorite track= the 1 hour long ''millionar-track'' many times, that it can make the problems go away....I have seen all the problems you mention disappear completely.

There is no gaurantee that it will work though.... It seems random when the problems goes away. Maybe all that is needed is driving a lot of miles. I have no idea really !
