TDU 2 error #3

It's 2 years since I bought a TDU 2 and I still didn't played the game, so i somebody know how to fix this problem i would be very grateful..

In additional this is what atari support said me to do...sorry SFMBE

Go to the location where your TDU2 folder is located. Go to the Security tab in properties, then "Advanced". You will then go to the "Owner" tab. Now you have a choice, you can set your user name as the owner and do this again when you reinstall windows. Or use "Everyone" as the owner. Before clicking OK, make sure "Replace owner on sub containers and objects" is checked.

From there, go to the "Permissions" tab and add the entries you require but make sure "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" is checked.

error #3, usually means you re-installed with pasted backup files and/or tdu2 registry data not cleaned, whereas u Should have done a full uninstall through Programs Features, this tidies your registry, Accept to revoke your activation at popup, and copy unlock request code, and restart pc and download tdu2 again and do full complete reinstall, and reactivate key and all good. Or u get error. half measure no, full measure yes. gl.

So..my last installation was on fresh install win7. I tried revoke activation before and I can't get these popup..i simple don't understand how..I have allways install through the steam..this is so confused..

to get revoke popup, click Windows Start button, and type 'testdrive2[dot]exe/revoke' in Run box, Or it may need full path; C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Test Drive Unlimited 2\testdrive2[dot]exe/revoke'. if no run box, rightclick Windows button properties customise enable Run box., click yes-accept, then you get your unlock request code, write it down. u need it at install.

I was looking for popup in way as you describe, but I simple don't have it. I was tried to find manually and nothing..it seems I don't have 'testdrive2[dot]exe/revoke' in my installation folder..maybe the reason why I don't have popup is that I installed game on other partition, my steam is not on C:\
I will try with a pirate version but if that doesn't work I quit..

testdrive2.exe, if u dont have that in your steam apps common u deff need a reinstall. gl. btw its ok to have game on E, long as its a Fresh download install, not with bits pasted from C, and hope it discovers files, cos that does work with many games but not with tdu2. if u need further helps we can temp friend on steam.

Hy ellie, can you help me with a TDU 2? I just make a frash install of windows and TDU 2 but i don't know what do do next? I was also looking for "testdrive2[dot]exe/revoke" in install directory but I don't have it. For now I just downloaded a game..tnx
