I don't think OP should feel guilty about acquiring the game in a different way. Either that or get a second-hand copy of the game on console? I dunno... The game has been taken off store fronts for so long now, the publisher clearly isn't interested in your money.

probably unrelated, but i remember buying NBA 2K10 officially a few months ago even tho it costed loads of money on other sites. now its actually been taken off steam due to the attention it got from tiktok :/

The game has a number of issues, especially with RTX20xx and newer and GTX 16xx GPUs. With those, you will need to try some solution for crashes when you open the map.

There can be other issues as well.
