there's a group that has started up on their own sever this game again and the new coming out next year but still enjoy this one. Have over 6200 hrs and still enjoy playing you can drive any place on the map some of my cars have over 25000 km and all my cars have at least 1000 km on them . Enjoy racing the bot and have created many races to do myself.

Nah, driving schools are absolute garbage, also DRM sucks. TDU 1 was better in these aspects. They just needed to improve physics and add some new races. Now MP servers are gone, TDU forum is gone, you can't play half of activities and motorcycles are unavailable.

I never used motorcycles, and in retrospect to modern gaming, this is still the best racing game of all time.

The story/island/races were great. 10/10 which is why we all played it right? It's all over now and has been for yeeeeeeeears

Thanks for this post. A few weeks ago I bought Assetto Corsa and before installing it I thought I had another racing game. After checking here decided to install and glad I did.

Even I'm new in the game TDU 2 is definitely a great game. Ibiza is beautiful and first time in my life I'm enjoying the game radio in a racing game.

Back in the time, around 2017, i had a hard drive problem, as i stopped resizing a partition, using gparted on a live linux distrib, and lost anything.

I didn't had the heart to restart from 0
But here we go, New custom server mod, after officials servers shutdown, and i'm back into the game, just to have some fun driving on Ibiza roads.
Hawaii was pretty nice i can't wait to see it again.

I played the crew and continue a bit on the Crew2, even if i almost stopped playing video games, driving is a stress relief in games.

I tryed like tieros Asseto Corsa, and it's really nice, but i'm missing the arcade part of games like test drive unllimited 1

I liked driving on open roads, games like Drtiver, driver san francisco, midtown madness 1 and 2

I never enjoyed circuits racing, but i begin to like it.

TDU2 it's sad officials servers are gone, but having unoficials servers, is giving me hope.

I don't even find graphics to be outdated,

I hope you still enjoy tdu 2 :)

man, for me I think it's the house buying. I loved the Crew, the crew really surprised me. I have yet to try the crew 2 but the whole plane arcade stuff puts me off. What do you think?

Driver 2 is my fave game of all time. Driver 1 and 2 got me through some tough childhood - Driver san francisco was also really good, what a surprise dude! MIDTOWN MADNESS 1 and 2 WERE SO GOOD. But only my friend had it on his OG xbox so I could only play it when I was at his and he didn't like it.

We're all the same person with a few DLC, I love it <3

Yes TDU2. Actually I tried to play it in 2011, with very low settings. It was looking worse than TDU1 and driving was slow. Then I completely forgotten it.

Only recently, after installing a new SSD for games, I start to rediscover such gems.

With rx570 i54670k @ 4.1ghz and a a HDD, TDU 2 on maxed setting 1440p without AA, and FX on middle / high instead of ultra, i get really good performance in game.

It's just an arcade game back to it's root, without nitro, so there is no way to reduce the time gap, if the car crash. It's all or nothing, especially visible with high speed car, you see the leader car in mp far away if your car crash on traffic.

I really like the crew the crew 2 and test drive unllimited 1 and 2 as arcade games for the different feeling they give.

SInce i switched to a g413 keyboard to replace a dead steel series shift keyboard with membranes been broken / cut after 11 years usage.

I can play tdu 2 on keyboard, while it was almost impossible to have a good feeling on the steel series shift.

Best controller i guess would be Xbox compatible devices, i saw in game friends driving perfectly with those controllers, Acceleration and decelerate, compared to keyboard was perfect.

Not sure if a steering wheel add anything more to arcade games, it must depend of the settings you are allowed to change, some games doesn't give you enough options ;)

Best controller for me is my Logitech Extreme 3D joy/flight stick. Once set up properly very precise steering left to right. Using the trigger for acceleration/deceleration works like a charm.

use an old Logitech wing man steering wheel from 1997 on my game has the pedals amd paddle shift

I did get a Logitech G923 wheel, peddles and shifter for when I want to fully emerge myself in driving. But it takes so much real estate that I really have to want it to set it up.
