hi .huys.went to play tdu2..go to enter cd key.all i get is cd key not valid.been to webite to log in.still waitng for password .reset email

Maybe exactly what it is telling you, 'Invalid Key'. Maybe you got scammed when you got it.

got from steam.last time i played was 5 year ago.worked then ok

I don't think it's possible with Steam purchase.

You don't need that email to start using your TDU2 account. Also, TDU2 account has nothing to do with CD key. CD key is used for Securom (DRM) activation, and only for that.

I'd contact Steam support: https://help.steampowered.com/

How many times did you use that activation? Each key is limited to 4 activations unless you do - how is it called? deactivation? the thing that pops up when you uninstall TDU2 from your Steam library. If that's the case you should contact Securom, I suppose: https://support.securom.com/faq_pa.html

Then you are somehow entering it wrong or entering the wrong key. It is digital, it either works or not. Not I will work this time but not next time. GL
