No more rain?
After a long break I started again with TDU2 and took up my old game from 2016-2017. Since the restart Ì played about 10 hours, but haven´t had a single rain shower in that time. I need a rainy day for the last two photos, but the Weather Channel is always only showing sunny weather. :(

Were weather changes tied to the servers and I will never see rain again in this game?

Just exit game and restart it

I played over several days and turned my computer off each day. So the game had enough restarts but no weather changes. :(

I wonder if that problem occurs because it is a old savegame from days the servers were still working.

I don't think so. In the last years of online servers, the online weather was different from the offline one, for example there were no heavy storms in online for some reasons.

So, it should work fine, theoretically. But who knows what actually happens.

it depends on your game version. On release the weather was server tied, on later versions it wasn't

So, i went to my second PC and checked if the problem is the same here. On this PC the weather works and the Weather Channel ist showing correct forecasts. :)

Only dfifference was, that on PC 1 it showed (in the launcher)

Your Nat type is : Strict: UdpBlocked

and on the other one (with the working weather)

Your Nat type is : Moderate: PortRestrictedCone

On the second PC it showed a message about bonus cars and packs downloading, on the other PC ( with Your Nat type is : Strict: UdpBlocked) it doesn´t show that messages and I don´t get the bomb missions.

So on PC 1 the frewall is blocking the game from working flawless? Both are running on Windows 10. PC1 on 20H4, PC2 on 1909.

Unfortunately on PC 2 the game freezes as soon as I open the ingame map. That seems to be a common issue on RTX-cards. :(

Edit: Okay, found a thread here on Steam regarding that crash issue. Downloaded a fix and now it works. :)

There's no online play anymore so firewalls don't affect a thing. The problem is that on PC1 your game is no updated to the latest version, these days you have to update it manually:

Thanks for your reply. :)

I reinstalled the game on PC1 and thought that would install the latest version of the game.

That would also explain, why I haven´t had those silly purple acceleration stripes this time.

I will copy the patch files to the games folder and check if that fixes my problem. :)
