CTR mod with a pad; Decent?
Had TDU 2 for quite some time and played a reasonable amount of the game (only its first island, though) on a seperate, non-Steam unpacked install on my old PC. Today decided to reinstall the game to this PC, got the Unofficial Patch and Autopack, and started a new save.

I have plenty of "wheel based games" such as rFactor 2, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally etc, so I want to stick to a pad with TDU 2 for a more "casual" experience. Am asking to know if the "Closer To Reality" physics mod is playable/decent while using a pad (settings taken from here https://steamcommunity.com/app/9930/discussions/0/648814841801820220/ ) .

There are some trainer like mods that allows the alteration of physics/stats for drifing on the fly, but seem to be limited to particular cars. Wondering if the CTR mod is a good overall choice.

Mostly gotten back into it as I remained on Win 8.1 with Classic Shell, so unable to play the Win 10 exclusive Forza Horizon series. (My one regret for not upgrading!). With FH 4 on the horizon (haha) I was in the mood for some open world goodness.

I hope that someday TDU 3 will be a thing, we need a good open world driving/racing game here on Steam (aka, not The Crew)

I do not use mods but I think no mod can make the game unplayable on pad. Backup your original Physics.cpr in case you don't like it.

I hope too.

Yeah tried it out last night, not bad actually, to be honest didn't feel too much of a difference aside from how the handbrake feels. But, it is a bit more realistic for that, I guess.

Yeah, backed up the original file, I can swap to my hearts desire then.
