Edit: Did you also move the joystick around the radius a bit to make sure it was fully pushed up or right?
Do you only have one controller connected while remapping? Yes - tried just wired
Are you sure your joysticks were zeroed when you started remapping? Yes
Finally, are you using any third-party software for input configuration? Nope
Did you also move the joystick around the radius a bit to make sure it was fully pushed up or right? Yes
Its like the detection code only senses Right and Down on both sticks. So when it says Push Up it never detects until stick is pushed down or right. Same for Left.
Is it detecting both positive and negative movement for remapping?
It compares the current value of every input to its default value (which it sets when you start remapping). I'll look into adding a debug mode for the next update to give some more visibility on what's happening.
Looking forward to try patch
Spinning camera while having a controller plugged in is an issue caused by UE4.
In other games I have played previously, I have experienced this issue as well. Most devs eventually get it fixed, but it seems to be something that is rather counter-intuitive since most UE4 games run into this issue before it eventually gets fixed.
I don't remember when i bought the game but i didn't have any problem until an update un mai i believe.
don't know if it was the one adding perth or the one just before.
I'm having this issue only using the right joystick. it's almost impossible to aim correctly with many ennemies. i keep dying spinning around.
Tried the "remap" thing and it didn't change
Edit:I'll answer in my thread from now
The original thread is from January, I'm plying since March or April and only had the issue around summer with the big update
So, i had spinning problems never fixed with any of your "official" tips with "xbox "licensed" controllers" but not genuine.
First one was an A-Power, symptoms were spinning camera (right stick). Spinning meaning "not stopping"
Then i bought a "hyperkin x-91" controller and had that time the same problem but with the left stick controller
I waited for black friday and now have one of the new microsoft xbox series x controller and...problem completely fixed.
So in my case, my first tought about genuine microsoft controllers turned out right.
Oh and fyi, my setup is now R5-3600x+32gb ram + rtx 3080.
I play 4k with every setting on ultra and have an average 58/60 fps.
But you do manage to get my card around 80°/176f, and cpu around 78°/172f after 2 min in game
I still have one slight problem, just to let you know...
Every time I forget to plug my controller... If I start and load the game then plug in the controller the left stick is not working.
I have to come back to main menu and reload...
And no, I forgot to try simply remapping, I'll give it a try
