Using vive wands with PSVR2
So I found a cheap listing on eBay for a HTC vive + wands + light boxes. I figure I'll just resell the headset and keep the wands and light boxes to use with my PSVR2 until the sense controllers are working and then sell those too.

My only question is how to use the wands without the vive as I'm a little confused on that. I've been reading online and it seems like there are dongles I can buy (found a few third party ones on Amazon). But what confuses me is that do I need one of these or 2?

Some sites are saying you need one single per controller and the Amazon page seems to imply that I should only need one in total.

Also are there any other issues I could run into with this setup?

Thanks!

You need 1 per controller. Currently, you'd also need to use some software to sync the two tracking systems. Future versions of the iVRy driver will include the "sync" functionality.

Thanks! Do you know of any examples of software that can do that for now?

Finally got around to testing it out and I've got it working flawlessly. Thanks iVRy for the excellent driver :)

I ended up getting a vive tracker and mounting that on my psvr2. Then I am using a program called "OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator" which allows the vive wands to continuously sync with the vive tracker on the headset and keeps them perfectly in sync even when walking around.

Best VR experience I've had so far, the psvr2 headset makes everything look stunning :)
