iPhone XR screen resolution

I've been trying to use my iPhone XR with iVRy but it does not output to the full resolution of my phone screen, resulting in a smaller squashed image. I have tried using this guide to fix it. (https://www.facebook.com/iVRy.VR/posts/1925103384373792). Unfortunately every time I start steam it resets this config file that I edited. Any help appreciated!

Add the following lines to the "driver_ivry" section of the steamvr.vrsettings file (in the 'config' folder of your Steam installation):

"renderWidth" : 1792,
"renderHeight" : 828,

(making sure that every line in the section ends in a comma, except for the last line.
