iVRy Driver for SteamVR

iVRy Driver for SteamVR

Controller Topic
Hello,

My only controller is Destek Remote Control. I'm starting to think it will not function as a controller using iVRy via Steam VR. If I am wrong, please correct me.

What controllers would you recommend, which will work for this setup? I'm using iVRy to run Unreal Engine 5 and visually, everything is fine, I simply can't get any feedback other than head movement. I've seen some other discussion threads about controller support. Is there a list somewhere of iVRy-friendly controllers?

Thank you for you expertise, help, and time.

Driver4VR has options for keyboard/mouse/VR remotes and more, but it's all emulated. For gameplay, vr remote is no good. Use a xbox controller for games with gamepad support, there are loads, mostly "cockpit" games but some shooters as well.
Motion controll is technically possible with wecam, vr remote, and a wireless mouse (for the buttons) but getting that to work borders on masochism.
Unless you like tinkering with stuff just for fun or need it only for getting passed a menu, you're better off looking for 2nd hand Xbox One controller (360 needs special adapter) or Razor Hydra as cheapest, easiest and best supported Steam VR options
Trust me. I am that guy that want's to get every exotic option working for sport. I own all but 2 of the Driver4VR options.

And, iVRy for Android has nothing to do with controllers. iVRy streams VR content to display on supported devices , Steam handles the controller part. Well ok head tracking is a 'controller' to, but not the point and click kind you're looking for. Don't know for sure about PSVR, I'm guessing iVRy handles that but your not referring to PS motion so you don't own a set, Destek is not Samsung nor Apple so it's not GearVR or iPhone and therefore you must be using Android. But I think the developer likes it when FAQ's are read, Google has been queried and information is given if, after realising that giving support sucks and interfeers with actual work, you still think this is the right forum.

Thank the bearded guy in the sky for idiots like me to answer your question by suggesting to buy more stuff, than insult you but blaming it on the developer and, to top it of, say it's gods work. I'm on fire.

One exception on the point and click not with head tracking controll remark: Gizmo has a handsfree function. I have no idea what that could be usefull for and have never used it in that way, that I cannot imagine it was intended for, ever, scouts honour. (Handsfree VR (web)videoplayer. You do the math)

You'll need to look for support for that elsewhere (try Steam support forums). Gamepad controller support is dealt with by Steam, not the headset driver.

on topic of remotes i am trying to get my oculus quest 2 remotes to work for sum games but they have trouble working for other games is there a fix or something i can do to get them to work?

1) What is an Oculus Quest 2 remote? The Quest 2 controller?
2) If they work, they work, it is up to the VR title which controllers it supports. Who knows which games don't work and why, you don't give any details.

It seems redundant to say this all of the time, but no one here can read minds, so I only have the information you provide. If you don't provide enough information no one can help you. So, rather provide too much than too little.
How to use a 3dof controller with your program ? I mean a controller from a vr box for example.

The Android app only supports official controllers (eg. Daydream with Daydream devices, GearVR with GearVR devices), and Nolo controllers (when Nolo head tracker is connected to Android). The SteamVR driver supports controllers that are supported by the Mobile device, and Nolo controllers (when Nolo head tracker is connected to the PC).

Any other kind of controller is not supported. You could add your own support via the iVRy external tracker API, or you could use additional software (eg. Driver4VR) for unsupported controllers.
