iVRy Driver for SteamVR

iVRy PSVR icon blocking view after 10-15 minutes
I haven't had issues previously, but for some reason after playing for 10-15 minutes the iVRy icon comes up with a menu behind it. I'm assuming this is what happens in the lite version? I've purchased the premium and have only had issues in the past day.

Please be a bit more descriptive, and list the full text of the message you're seeing.

Is there a way to screenshot what’s displaying in the headset?

I only use iVRy/PSVR for assetto corsa. After a short amount of time (10-15 minutes, can get a more specific duration if needed) a huge icon appears and is static even if I move my head around. I don’t believe it’s the iVRy icon but it does look similar, I don’t have trinus or any other software installed.

Behind the static icon is a menu, which may be SteamVR-related? I’ll get an exact list of what is displayed, but it’s a light blue background with different options. I think it’s SteamVR-related because there is an LB/Left Bumper icon indicating you can press the button to scroll through the list.

After about 1 minute the PSVR headset shuts off, and the game quits back to the desktop.

I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall but the same results were produced. I will try to uninstall then delete the root folder to see if this may fix this issue.

I installed the beta version you had just posted about on 01/20/2020 but to be honest I can’t remember if the issue was happening before or after this installation.

Please be as specific as possible, with times etc. It sounds like it may be the demo warning that you would get if you were running in 'Extended' or 'Direct (VR)' mode. You can test that by switching the driver to 'Virtual' mode. You should then get the colour saturation reducing after the time period (10 minutes) instead of the warning. You could take a photo with your phone to show what was being displayed.

i didn't see an option to post photos on here, so hopefully these work:

it really just seems as though my iVRy is in lite/demo mode. if you have a way to reenable the premium version that would be great. thank you!

troubleshooting i've tried so far:

uninstalling beta and running the public release
disabling and reenabling premium version in "manage DLC"
uninstalling and reinstalling iVRy (root folder is deleted after uninstalling from steam)

i did try disabling premium version and then trying to launch, which would be lite version. iVRy and SteamVR wouldn't launch correctly. there was an error displayed in SteamVR that gave options to reset headset, which didn't resolve the issue.

i also just checked, i've never had the lite version installed, probably why SteamVR was throwing the issue.

Thank you. That is very interesting, I've never seen that, I will try to reproduce it (or at least figure out what may be causing it). If you are running the Beta, please send the vrserver.txt file from after you see this issue.

BTW, there is no difference between the "lite" and "premium" versions apart from whether Steam registers you as owning the "premium" version. You can not revert to the "lite" version unless you refund or somehow cancel your purchase.

If Steam is registering you as "not owning" it when you have purchased it, then it is a Steam/SteamWorks issue.

i'm unable to locate the vrsserver.txt file, where is it located?

i'll try finding similar issues with games not being "full version" and see what i can find.

i went ahead and uninstalled steam, then reinstalled onto another HD (i've been meaning to anyway). reinstalled assetto corsa, then reinstalled iVRy and so far i've had no issues. hopefully this doesn't come back. thanks for your help thus far, i'll post in here if the issue arises again.

Thanks for reporting this. It appears to be a bug in the latest version of SteamVR. Regardless, I'll have to work around it. What you should have been seeing is a message telling you SteamVR was going to shut down soon because iVRy was running in "Lite" mode. It was running in "Lite" mode because of something to do with your Steam installation (reporting which add-ons have been purchased is Steam's job), which appears to be fixed now.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
