NOTE: Android USB tethering
Android is very sensitive to cable quality when doing continuous transfer over USB at max bandwidth. You can test whether a cable will work well or not with iVRy USB tethering by transferring a large file (> 1Gb) to the phone/device with Windows Explorer. If it transfers successfully, you probably won't run into cable related issues, if it doesn't, you definitely will.

Apparently, USB tethering between Android and Windows causing system crashes is a common issue for all Android users (not just users of iVRy). The most common solution is to connect the phone to a USB 2.0 port or hub, as there seem to Windows issues when connecting the phone to a USB 3.x port.

The issue is a bug in the built-in Windows RNDIS (remote NDIS) driver. Some users have reported success in installing their phone manufacturer's USB drivers, which override the Windows RNDIS driver.

The latest version of the Android app and SteamVR driver support Android USB Debug connections, which can also be used to avoid system crashes, as that does not use Windows built in tethering driver.
