PSVR 120 Hz refresh rate
Hi,

iVRy is in VR-Direct, PSVR reports 120 Hz framerate. But SteamVR says 90 Hz in the settings. Is that correct?

If you switch refresh rates in the iVRy settings you will need to restart SteamVR. For AMD that requires a new monitor driver to be installed and the headset turned on once or twice (as per onscreen guide). This is all automated. Once that procedure is done everything should be reporting the same refresh rate. With nVidia this is not an issue.

You might not have to go through all this with many AMD graphics cards but i did, so if you cant figure out why the refresh rate isnt 120Hz if you have AMD then follow this. Use the AMD Crimson software and go into the settings(the gear on top right). Once in settings select "Display" tab and select the display which is the PSVR. After selecting that display ,at the bottom right you need to select "Custom Resolution"(Create New) and only change the "Refresh Rate" from 90 to 120 and "G.Refresh Rate" from 90.000 to 120.000. You might also have to right click the desktop and select "Display Settings". Once in "Display Settings" make sure multiple displays is set to extended desktop and select "Advanced display settings" then select the PSVR in the drop down list which might be called "SIE HMD". After selecting the display in the drop down menu, at the bottom of the page select "Display adapter properties" which should open a new window then select the "Monitor" tab and change the refresh rate to 120Hertz if its not already selected.

It's better if you don't mess with the AMD drivers too much. The iVRy monitor drivers do all of the custom resolution/refresh rate stuff for you anyway, and there's very little that can be gained (and a lot of hassles that can be caused) by trying to take things into your own hands. It's your system, but I would strongly recommend not following the above suggestion.

The problem was solved by disconnecting HDMI from computer and restarting PC.
