iVRy Driver for SteamVR

iVRy + Driver4VR to set head position tracking?
I had this working a few weeks ago, but now I'm unable to use Driver4VR to override the head tracking (position only) when using iVRy. No matter what option I try, SteamVR always shows my "head" at a fixed height and position in the room and my controllers float around and behind me.

Did the most recent update break that ability by chance? Any idea how I can get that functionality back?

To anyone following this, I can confirm that the latest version of Driver4VR (5.4.0.0) fixes the issue of the lack of head tracking with iVRy. All you need to do is to upgrade Driver4VR and iVRy to the latest version through Steam and you should be good to go!

Thanks iVRy and Greg from Driver4VR for addressing this issue quickly!

I was able to get the tracking to work for Riftcat + Driver4VR but oddly when I apply the same configuration to iVRy it does not track head movements.

I'd prefer iVRy as the quality is better and the video signal is more stable than using Riftcat. Is there anything I can do to get this functionality to work?

The most recent version of iVRy is built with the latest OpenVR SDK. Perhaps Driver4VR is not compatible with the latest OpenVR? You will need to contact the Driver4VR developer, as it's an issue with that software, not iVRy. There is nothing else that comes to mind that could result in this behaviour.

Thanks for the reply, I also just finished testing Trinus and as painful as that was to get running, Driver4VR was also able to supply head tracking with it.

I am not familiar with the SDK but if the OpenVR SDK lost compatibility, would it be possible to test an older version of iVRy?

In the meantime, I'll point Greg Driver from Driver4VR to this thread.

Thanks!

The Driver4VR developer and I collaborate on getting our products to work together, so I will contact him and discuss with him.

That's awesome that you collaborate, both products are working well for me and this is the only issue I've run into. I sent you an email, I'll be able to test the old version tomorrow and provide feedback. Thanks again.

I've contacted him, and will relay his findings here. We're moving towards tighter integration between our products, including getting Driver4VR tracking data directly into the iVRy driver, as opposed to the unsanctioned (by Valve) methods being used currently (which can break between SteamVR releases).

Greg says:

"They need also update Driver4VR to latest version.
Today I enabled update notification so they should get prompt.
I will double check anyway."

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
