How to get the psvr headset to turn on?
Hey I have set everything up on the pc(hooked up the psvr, installed ivry psvr and steam vr). However, the psvr headset isnt showing anything when I turn it on and start the programs. I only see an extremely zoomed in version of my screen with two black bars on both sides on my monitor. Ive tried for hours to get it to work. Please Help. I want to buy this instead of trinus. Im running on a windows 7 machine with an amd graphics card.

If you're doing any of the weird tricks you need to do for Trinus (like setting PSVR as default monitor or only monitor), you need to not do that. The PSVR 'monitor' needs to be an extension of the desktop (not mirror).

Hello, i don t owne the programme, but i own vr.

Be sure your psvr is connected to HDMI graphic card slot and not on the mother board HDMI slot. and the usb are connected in to a 3.0 usb slot.

Your screen need be connected on the graphic card slot too. VGA/DVI......

This recommended configuration for optimal VR experience.

The camera should be connected as 3.0.

Try thosde step if you see you got something out than this list.

try run this with steam VR:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/323910/SteamVR_Performance_Test/?l=french

same if nothing appears in your psvr, let the demo run to the end on your pc, steam vr performance test will send you full diag and showing you if something in your pc are not compatible VR or need to be upgraded.

Same for me, i connected from the "hdmi PS4" slot to the hdmi slot on the graphics card and get no picture in the headset, it detects the headset and says its ready and i can see a small picture of the game im running on the tv but the psvr is black, no picture. It says that its in extended mode and that i should swith to the other mode but nothing happenes when i do that and it repeats that its in extended mode.

Have you done the room setup in steam vr?

Dont forget to Power on your Headset :)

There is no picture in the headset regardless.

looks like games handle this differently, for eg one of my games (rooms puzzle game) puts a window of game on main screen in front of steam, when i drag it over to extended monitor (psvr hmd) and make it fullscreen it works. and other game project cars works straight away showing in the headset and showing a smaller window of it on main screen aswell. are u booting up the game in vr mode from steamvr home? if u run steamvr home it should work show in the hmd straight away so u can see around the home room then hold select on xbox controller to bring up games menu launch game in vr from there, dunno if this helps u

mine was the same way what i did was uninstall trinus and any nolo (if you have any) and when you plug the headset in first run ivry not stem vr then ivry psvr and last when you run steam vr do not move the headset if you did then uninstall everything exept steamvr and repeat without moving headset once done it will ask you run in direct mode hit yes and restart your pc and start steam vr you should be set then

Ill trying everythig you all suggested tonight, see what I get, and post back. Im not trying anything fancy. Im just trying to get it to work on my PC

I haven't tested it with a TV connected, or on Windows 7, but I'll get on that. You could try it without the TV connected. I'll be setting up a Windows 7 test machine in any case to make sure everything works there.

I got it to work now but there are black bars on all sides, is it supposed to be like that? also when i try to calibrate the LEDs never turn off.

The LEDs are supposed to stay on while it is in "VR" mode.
