Tails Noir: Prologue

Removed Linux and MacOS support?
Why was support removed? Game worked perfectly fine apart from ending cinematic. It's kind of bait and switch. Now neither prologue nor full game can be played anymore. Hopefully support is coming but I can't say this made me happy.

Good to know. Still, there was no need to remove support from prologue.

Yeah, wtf is with removing Mac support on the prologue!? I had it downloaded and went to play it today (for the first time) and it said windows only?

If it becomes impossible to play the prologue on Mac I will not buy the game. Period.

I also really hate when game companies reach into my computer and change the contents of the game i have downloaded already.

I whole heatedly agree this really is a surprising decision to remove the support for MacOS & Linux when the Prologue initially released & supported the other platforms. I am not pleased that after downloading the game as they had released it can be stripped away without consent. I won't be planning on picking up Backbone until it is available on MacOS natively.
I too was about to play this in enthusiasm for the first time, and upon launch, what do i see? -"The game uses compatibility tool" - i was in the know that this game has a native Linux port as promised. I go to the store page: Windows only indicated with Linux and macOS removed ...

I'm a big advocate for Linux gaming, but you can always make your computer dual boot to Windows if only for the games (I'm hoping you're using a regular PC, I understand it is not as easy with a Mac).

Has anyone still encountered the game crashing? I got the game downloaded from xbox gamepass.
I wonder is the Linux port still being worked on.

Why on earth did you guys remove it for the Mac on Steam? As far I was I aware it was pretty decent and playable, and now I was cut completely from the experience. This is ridiculous.

Lets wait and see how fast they backtrack now that Steam Deck is a thing.

They just gave up with Steam Deck on the horizon. (And I wouldn't expect them to put much effort in the Windows version of the game that - unfortunately! - seems to not fit the expectations, either.)

Then best of luck to them. My money will go to developers that care.
