There's nothing to fix. There isn't a virus. It's a false positive.

Being doubtful is fine and is kinda expected after any security incident like this.

Personally, I'm leaning towards (hoping) its a false positive. But it's better to find out why the game is triggering these AVs, and if possible, to fix it. That, or to notify the triggered AVs that this is a false positive and hopefully they'd sort this out on their end (kinda doubt they'd do anything though).

You might want to check again. If Shogun's link is anything to go by, there are definitely AVs getting triggered by VirusTotal:

你特意提到”westerners“，再加上你到处粘贴这”仇华“的理论。我看到在这游戏里的讨论区已经有人感到不满。你的病毒扫描并不包括很多杀毒软件，virustotal包含了72杀毒软件，其中有一些杀毒软件查到游戏的.exe里有病毒。

已经有怀疑是误报问题，只需要游戏设计师来确认。但是你现在的话就像在火上加油，不应该把政治问题带到这里。这游戏很有潜力，很好玩，别为了这点问题停止这游戏的发展，我想游戏设计师也希望更多人能够欣赏和购买他们的游戏。

UPDATE: My AV just had the latest Antivirus database update, and bloody spell exe plus the 2 other games I have been having issues with are now free, my av does no longer react to them.

So I will be deleting my post on the forums, and also thanks to the devs for also doing some research :)

Bullguard isn't a market leading anti-virus software, its not surprising that it isn't heard of. Threw the files into Windows Defender and Malwarebytes again and nothing pops, Virustotal still triggers only for a small number of AV and majority are relatively unknown. I'm not saying that it isn't good to be wary but Weelak is right, its quite unlikely that there's actually a virus. The most you could do is just report it on steam and uninstall until there's more news. Frankly, I think Suami's behaviour is very obnoxious. Why be so rude when there's no confirmation? Just report and move on.

If you live in europe or the US hell I bet even Russia knows about that, then I would say it is a pretty darn big brand... But no matter they have checked the file and my av does not react to it anymore.

I sure hope not :) And since I had the issue for 3 days I feelt it was just better to be safe than sorry :)

Yea I noticed last night the number of detections dropped and today it is down to 2. Glad we can move on from this.

Jep and although it might have been a false positive, it is still pretty scary that 14 respected AV's trigger an alert.
