I never had it happened to me, and my computer isn't anything special.
Try veifying game cache, or maybe lower some settings to see if the problem still persists.
Thanks for your answer.
My set up is quite good and the game runs smoothly, except when the freezes occur (they were few on my latest run). I'll try to look at the settings, but I don't remember there are so many options.
Concerning the data loss, I never had something similar with any game, even after a crash, so I think it might be related to this particular game.
I tried to check the game integrity with steam, and to look at the save directories, but nothing came out, and my save is still unavailable.
Weird then, I haven't seen anyone else with the same issue.
There are like 2 options related to graphics in the settings, I wouldn't count that has many xD.
I've been playing the game since it came out, and I never even had freezes, and the only time I lost data was when my game got stuck at Syncing data, and I had to ALT+F4, corrupting my save.
I've had it crash more than once tho, but never lost data because of it.
I've read some people have been having problems with choppy framerate during battles after the latest update, but you say your freezes happen randomly, so they are probably unrelated.
From my experience, devs aren't really active in here (unless they read the posts but don't answer), so it might be hard to get your word around.
EDIT: Also your set up "being quite good" doesn't really help much, since "quite good" can be many different things depending on who you ask.
Yeah, my very first freeze was at the first boss. I thought the game had crashed, so I finally had to ALT+F4. When I launched the game again, my save wasn't corrupted, but it seemed I died during the "fight", because I had lost all my items. ^^
Then, many of the freezes occured during random fights, but they didn't last so long. On the other hand, it happened that I fought 5-6 enemies at the same time, without any trouble. And the latest freeze I had, like I said, was on the skills menu, so nothing very greedy, I guess. But it still ended on a blue screen, and the PC rebooted.
My specs are: i7 3,2ghz first gen, GTX 780 ti, 16GB DDR3, running on SSD. It sounds like my GPU lack of memory may be the cause of the issues, but I have no problem with most of the latest games.
Anyway, according to what you're saying, it does seem that the game doesn't like crashes, and data loss may be one of the random "side effects".
Your computer is still decent for this game, unless the game has some issues with older hardware, but the game runs on Unity afaik, so that shouldn't be a problem.
It shouldn't, indeed. I hope one day the devs will give us the answer regarding some technical issues. Maybe I'll give a new try by lowering the game settings, but I think it might be safer to wait for new updates and improvements.
