I have no guide other than what I did which was play Chronomancer a lot until I could unlock it naturally and even then I played Chronomancer more (probably too long).
Other sources of XP is mana, spell casts, collected void entities and (auto)clicks. Make sure to maximize all of them.
The XP bonus from True Sorcery increases with casts, so items reducing incantation duration will help there. Shadow-Sryer's Crystal Ball (weapon) needs no upgrades; Frozen Ring and Perfected Kata Bracers (wrist) should ideally be legendary. If you've made it to e320 (for offhands), there's also Habitstone. Mounts are probably out of reach at this point.
There are items that grant XP bonuses: Nomadic Wrists, Casque of Learning (head), The Great Journey (feet), Endless Pouches (waist), Hollow Eye Pendant (neck) and Artificer's Shoulderpads. Work on getting these to legendary if you haven't already; they're all useful. If you need Bite Sleeves to equip the pendant (requires 175 empathy), Nomadic Wrists are probably better. There are also Mastery perks that grant XP bonuses. Pompous Tunic might be helpful to reach those.
Use the weapon with Wormhole to grind skipped time with Pixie as your pet. Reckless Cast Synthetic Entity with 175 or more points in patience for the improved charge time. It doesn't take very long to see if this approach is going to worthwhile. Don't forget to buy sources with Simulacrum.
I wouldn't recommend spending resources on experience gear, I think it'll slow your progress towards your first realming.
