Idle Expedition
Quick question. Does my expedition penalty still go down if I keep doing idle expeditions?
So they're safe to have on waiting for chances to do manual runs at 0% penalty?

Expedition penalty is not affected by, nor affects, idle expeditions. So, yes it's fine to run idle expeditions while you wait for your penalty to recover.

I haven't checked in awhile... but the value of the expedition penalty shown in the expedition menu does not update during idle expeditions. To view the current value, one needed to restart the client or start a manual expedition.
