If you're not set up for playing Temporalist gear-wise in the first place, there's no real need to unlock Mechanos right now anyway. The situations where you'd want to use it outside of that are incredibly limited, so maybe hold off on that one for now.
Temporalist is really really good for collecting lots of achievements, Autoclicks (no way you're hitting 1e12 any other way), total sources and amounts of each individual source, and character level. Plus the ones for earning compressed time.
That said, the actual amount of profit boost from just 50 achievement points is small enough to be entirely unnoticeable at your stage of the game.
You could also try using chronomancer to skip time. Casts of wormhole will be individually weaker than those of refined wormhole, but as a shard spell, you should be able to cast it faster.
