Best time to realm?
Let's say I've more or less maxed out my mysteries for the realm, what is the ideal number of days to realm after? I notice diminishing returns after 10 days but haven't gone more than maybe 15. Am I missing out on a better multiplier if I hold out longer? Thanks.

Longer realms let you hit higher bonuses from Trials, benefit from the Trial bonuses you already acquired longer, raise your memories time x e.dust x catalysts bonus multipliers and spend less overall time re-grinding back up.

In early realms, your memories gains as a proportion of memories already earned rises much faster and at the 15 days mark, your memories earned per day from the time multiplier, e.dust and catalysts multipliers should still be rising despite your mysteries gains slowing down. In my earliest saved realm history at 400k, I was still making decent memories gains when I decided to realm at the 21-23 days mark, which made realming a net loss of 20-30k memories over just farming multipliers for at least an extra week before realming with an extra 20-30% memories in the bank to blow through early next-realm a whole lot faster.

As tempting as it may be to cash in early, I'd say stick around for 30 days at a minimum. Take longer exiles to farm up whatever accumulated stuff your class scales on so you can still make a bit of progress on mysteries while letting multipliers do their thing on memories..

Also, before realming, you want to hoard crafting dusts and and runes for a few days to kick-start your next realm if you weren't already planning to do so.

Personally, I like to go for long realms, waiting until mysts/day drops to around 1, though if you've got plenty of crafting dust to reforge items and do experiments for edust next realm, quick realms for smaller amounts of memories are a valid strategy too, or so I've heard.

I feel it's really a matter of how long you want to sit in your current realm and build up multipliers. If you'll get enough memories to buy the upgrades you want, go for a new realm.

There are only 4 multipliers - one from the Imprint Memories Within Memories and the other 3 you see on the change realm page. You are correct there is a change at 10 days for the time multiplier where it goes from 0.3 per day to 0.083 for day 11 and slowly decreases.

While in theory the optimum time to realm is as soon your myst gains slow to a crawl, you also need to factor in how much effort is involved in realming so often. Frankly it boggles my mind that you can max your mysts within 2 weeks and how much work realming every other week must be.

To get an idea of what we are talking about, how many memories are you earning per realm, how long is your last exile, and how many mysts did that earn?

Those time multiplier numbers per day are very helpful, thanks. To answer your question, I don't max out mysteries in two weeks but I get within around 10 a day and don't really care that much after that. My first realm was after like a year of playing and I think I got 6e5 because I waited so long at around 500 mysteries playing desolator. Now because of a splinter glitch I accidentally ran into during the harvest event I get around 1e6 per realm, as I gain mysteries very quickly after I unlock memetics because of high catalyst income. My last realm was after around 15 days and I think I got 1.23e6 mem.

Ahh, yeah, having such high cata memetics kind of invalidates the normal play cycle. This basically puts you in a league of your own. As InvalidError says, longer realms allow for more trial milestones and more dust but at this point it's up to you with what you feel comfortable with. You will need to do longer realms to unlock the last few achievements and legacy levels.

Personally I realm on an 8 week cycle to coincide with the weekly bonuses so I can take advantage of them a certain points in the realm. Last realm I pushed all the way to e1200 mysts and got almost 3M memories.
