Sorry I can't be more helpful. It's been a while since I was at that point, but I do agree that the way guides tend to be aimed at more advanced players can be very frustrating early on, giving suggestions based on attributes and equipment you just don't have at that stage of the game.
Manual Hallowed clicks are the best way to get mana and they get boosts from almost everything. As long as you get to shattered shield (spell) Evocation bonus's apply fully as well. Few things get Void profits Autoclicks AND evocation efficiency at full value.
this is the way i rack up mysteries, i hope it helps :) [i'm e90 on my way to e91]
It's a semi idle build so u hav to be online for it to work... takes over 2 hours to go past your mystery amount... let it run till your next E amount (eg: if u e80 , let it run to e81) and then exile and start again.
class : voidmancer ( level 80 ) ; pet : interrogator ( as soon as u can get him which is class level 46)
let your void traps fill with entities and leave them in there, even if they escape , void prison will fill the empty trap rather quick.
spells 6 (all on autocast red) : spell focus, void bolt, void prison, void syphon, ritual of power, Ebon truncheon
stats : intelligence 73 , insight 60 , spellcraft 30, wisdom 40, mastery 40, empathy 25
I found that prodigy allows a fairly fast active rise in mysteries from around 1e90 to 1e50ish if you have unlocked the tier 2 spellhound (arcanaworg I think). If you haven't I would advise doing so.
You can put 6 spells: Black Beam; Alter the Laws; True Sorcery; Primal Power; Ley Overdrive (once you are high enough level); and Gem Resonance.
If you put them all on reckless once you have the arcanworg you will be able to keep all of the incantations active as well as casting maximum evocations with each second of the pet's ability.
As the profit boosting spells all scale with sources or casts, and you character boosts profit with time and experience, this builds up pretty quickly, allowing you to get to an order of mysteries 3 or 4 times higher than what you already have fairly quickly (ie. from 1e130 to 1e134). At which point you will want to exile and repeat. For better results you can spend a wee while beforehand building up void mana.
Later on it becomes more effective to switch out to a golem/anima construct once you stop making easy progress with the arcanaworg, and casting the spells manually (though it can take a while to charge them without the warg, generally charge them one at a time with spell focus and manabeast summoning).
Generally, I have found the prodigy and necromancer have remained the most effective at getting mysteries, the voidmancer did some useful one off boosts but have yet to find an effective way of utilising the exorcist or the umbramancer, even with the shadowstalker. Perhaps because I am still too early in the game or just bad.
