Losing money on auctions
I have lost money on every auction so far. I wait until the very last second to bid.
The first bid wars was by far the worst. I lost somewhere around 2k. Evil swamp just took 1k from me as well. Even with holding out on selling unless winning all haggles leaves me in the red. The only way I am sustaining at this point is because of the buying stand.

Has anybody else found a way to be profitable when going to an auction?

Same here, costs more to buy the place that what you get from the items in it. I don't get the point of that. This one need $8k for me to be able to do the mission in the first place (auction went for $8.5k) and ive just sold every item from it whilst haggling to get the max back and buying/selling items they bring in whilst i do and it still only sold for slightly over $7k. So there is no getting around that at all. You can't buy the place without at least $8k and all the items sell for less, even more if you don't haggle every single item. It's annoying but hey ho.

Maybe you have to take a bit more time. Try to find ALL(or at least most) of the items on a map. Always bet the lowest amount on auctions. Go back to older maps if you missed items, they are free to travel to. I had no problems at all, just at the start but once you get past that point it's easy.

You will never need more than 10K in money to be safe and upgrading the store is really not needed(only cosmetic)., BUT you need to sell everything in between a new map.

Same for the digging, axe or the chicken upgrade you can buy. Buy that when you are safe on cash.

Only tips I can give.

seems to me the way to play this game is win as many auctions as possible and to revisit barns to build up cash. depends on if the player wants to 'complete' the game or just play it casual like. can be played both ways. I play this game when i need a break from my other games. most games i don't feel i need to 'get to the end' i play my games more casual like and because i find them 'fun' in some way.

Even if you lost 1000 or so from the actual auction you should easily make at triple in profit when you sell at your store by haggling.

The event where you do multiple auctions on the map I lost almost $4000 from buying all of the auctions but I made $13,000+ from the items at my shop.

Always find EVERYTHING on each map and revisit each map at least once.

It's impossible not to earn a lot of money on the auctions. First, every container (contents) is worth much more than the price of it. Second, after winning three bids, you will also receive a car.

make sure you catch the thief first when you are selling stuff or that may be how you are losing cash hand over fist, if you are ignoring the thief they steal your goods
Why would anyone ignore the thief? One of the most satisfying parts of the game is when you get to kick that dingus in the nuts. :chuchelcrazy:

I just bought/won my first 4 storages and the whole experience was disappointing.

- The bidding wars were super meh, Ive seen a mobile game doing that 100 times better.
- Items are meh and you really can't find any cheap storage findings
- I bought the pirate storage --> Most of the treasure boxes were empty and I had to open them all with the most stupid lockpicking system

I'm super close to delete this game for good. I even don't understand why these PlayWay games are kinda popular? They don't have much content and soul and no mod support.
