DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

iv'e had this game for just over a year and i have never been able to play it plain and simple

it dont work for me i have deleted it and downloaded it several times, i get the same thing happening over and over again

the load screen pops up it crashes

steam should of fixed this a long time ago and i doubt they ever will.

i know why its not working and i have tried to fix it the way it was ment to be fixed but it still wont work

the big problem i have is i shouldn't have to need to fix it and download files from sites on the web the game should be working from get go and should of come with all the files required to run it

now i paid $14+ for this game and i want to warn every one do not buy it at its new cheap as chips price it aint worth the risk

OP, I know this thread is old, but if it still doesn't work, try this: With the game uninstalled, check your registry for leftover config files for the game. Most games don't delete them when they're uninstalled and won't overwrite them on install if they are already present, and if there is an error in them, it will prevent the game from loading properly.

can someone tell me how to fix the start up crash? For me it goes to start up , then it says that it won't wont (not responding) and windows tries to identify the problem but doesn't offer any solutions. Please can someone help? and i'm new to steam so ... its confusing.

this game sucks, but im sure there is at least ONE part of it thats not so bad... in my view the best part of the game is the cool dwarven looking main menu...

I freaking love this game. I't's really not that intensive, and you dominate the AI. Kick back, relax and enjoy. Never had a problem with it.

you know, surprisingly, I could not get this to work at all either on windows 7 64bit.
But i just got the game today for ordering a £30 game i got a mystery key (which was this game DE version) was thinking aww crap its going to be in German and unplayable. Nope at least it auto detected English on install :)
Yup cannot play Multiplayer (gamespy went bye d bye) so alot of games that had MP went Bye d Bye too.
Game plays however on windows 10 64bit (strangely enough) and all i did was an upgrade with teh free upgrade MS offered.

Game is dated but is playable, but only in 1280x1024 (has a max 1600xsomething) but when i try that it craps out, there is no 1920x1080 mode. Also the mouse movement is somewhat very hyper as in move a squidge and it probably does a 1080% spin. Is there any way to slow the mouse movement down as i do not see anything in options?

Other than that, game is playable for passing some time.

I rememebr when Gamespyarcade just launched, this was during teh demise of Heat.net and Mplayer.com (gamespy aquired the Mplayer servers and stuff when they ceased online gaming).
This really left just Gamespyarcade and gamingZone (known now i think as MSN zone) but not sure if thats still running as they dropped all bought titles and let GSA have them.

Buy the game if you want a fun hack and slash RPG and if you dont guess what??..................DONT BUY IT!!!!
Its that simple and as it is the game is not the best in the world but it sure is fun none the less!!

I've had the same issue. My old computer was really weak and I assumed that was the problem. Got a new computer and redownloaded the game and it still does not open at all. I've owned this game for a couple years and never even seen the title screen.

In 99.999 percent of all cases I can understand why or how someone likes a game that I don't, but in this case I can safely say anyone who enjoys this game is an idiot - and has such a low standard for video games that thier opinions on the subject are worthless.
