METAL EDEN

METAL EDEN

Overall I loved it (although some additional tweaks are necessary)
I've been following the game on X (twitter) for a while now and was really anticipating to play the demo. I was not disappointed.

Sure, there are still some things to iron out but overall I loved it.

Positive impressions:

(+) Great art direction and overall visual presentation.
(+) Love the movement style ( How could I not since DOOM Eternal, Titanfall 1/2 DOOM'16 and Quake are at the very top in my favorite games list ?)
(+)Animations are also quite good
(+) Performance seems ok for the most part (at least on my PC). Yes there is some micro-stutter and frame pacing here and there but it's a demo.

Thing that in my opinion need to be improved:

- Please Iion out the performance and eliminate micro-stutter for the release.
- Jumping between zip lines is not obvious at first. I was stuck repeating the same zip line sequence until I figured out that I could jump and transfer to a new zip line.
- Not always clear how much ammo I have left for my current weapon. I need to replay it but I was constantly searching for the ammo counter during action.
- Starting SMG sound makes it feel like a weak weapon. I get it that it's a suppressed weapon but it needs to sound a bit punchier. For the other weapons this is not such a big issue.
- Please add a slider to adjust the strength of the motion blur and allow us to disable it altogether.
- Please allow us to tweak and disable (if needed) mouse acceleration.

This is just my first impression. If anything else comes to mind I will post it here.

Thank you to the development team for allowing us to play this demo. I will be there on release date I'm convinced it will turn out to be a great game !

Later Edit: Ammo counter for remaining ammo that is not currently in the magazine is holographic-ally displayed on the actual weapon. alongside the ammo in the current magazine. It's funny how I missed something like this
