which is why the game is relatively easy to play.
Good Looking Out Mate!!!
You also have to consider the fact that we are deal with the British. They do things a bit differently than the rest of us.
(Slash: British Accents, and everyone is quite Calm)
British Woman: Excuse me, it would appear you've broken into my home.
British Man: Yes Ma'dame I have. I was intending to relieve you of your Silver Service. It's Quite Posh, by the way.
British Woman: Why thank sir, it's be in my family for quite sometime. But, in any case, you must realize that you're efforts are for naught.
British Man: (He Chuckles) Indeed Ma'Dame, I had no idea you'd return so soon. I suppose I should go speaks with the Constantinople.
British Woman: Yes, You should. But a Spot of Tea first?
British Man: Thank You, Yes.
(End Slash: British Accent)
Of course if Hogswart was in America, the conversation would have gone like this.
(Slash: American Accent, and she's pissed)
American Woman: Hello, 911, there's a Dead Man in My Living Room, and I ain't cleaning this mess up!
This is not a good excuse. The books were written for children of the late 90's/early 2000's and evolved as they aged. The character in the game is closer in age to the latter books (Goblet of Fire and later) in which a major character dies in every one of them (and then there is Deathly Hallows). Not exactly kid friendly and it has nothing to do with having challenging game mechanics in this game anyway.
As for the locks: The minigame is okay enough for the first few locks, but it gets old very quickly. Given how many locks you sometimes unlock back to back, because the next village has 5 houses locked that you are going to break into and then swipe clean. I would have liked it, if the third level of that spell would have just gotten rid of that minigame. It really does add nothing at that point anymore.
https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/1581 (Skips lock mini game for all locks at or below your current Alohomora level)
https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/1580 (Unlocks all locks without mini game nor needing the right Alohomora level)
Only exception that I believe is in both versions is that certain locks you unlock as part of quests (Biscuit and dragon egg) still require the mini game. Apparently the game itself prevents you from picking those locks before you get to them in the associated quests, but earlier versions of the mod were able to pick them and then when you go to them in the story later on, the lock wouldn't be there anymore (because you can only unlock cages once and then the locks are missing if you return to the cage object later) and it prevented players from completing the associated quest. So you'll still have to do the mini game for those locks but no others.
