Why does the game bug out when I go through whirlpools?
Whenever I go through a whirlpool, be it in the ocean or in a cave, nine times out of ten the game bugs out and my MC gets stuck at the bottom of the pool on the other side and I can't get out; the pause button doesn't work, and the only thing I can do is jump and look around. That leaves me with the only option being to close the game completely and restart it. Is anyone else having this issue, or is it just my game?

Sounds like there is something wrong with your set up. Could be mods, could be just about anything but the place to look is sitting in front of you.

I just had a similar bug, where I wanted to enter a whirpool and was stuck at the bottom of the map after loading. had to alt + f4 out og the game. but i have mods installed, so that might have something to do with it.

Funny thing is, I don't have any mods installed. It's just the base game with no tweaks. Everything else works just fine.

Did you ever use mods?

The game isn't free of bugs, that's for sure. But people seem to not be aware that mods often stay in folders causing issues even after they think they have uninstalled them.

It could be maybe a graphics setting or in need of updated drivers. Could also try turning down some settings or turning off certain features like Frame Generation or DLSS/FSR.
